LEDSAVER (CEO Hong Hyun-chul), which specializes in LED lighting and sensors, announced that it has applied for a patent 'non-compromising system' regarding LED lighting devices that automatically convert to emergency power without any power outage in case of an emergency.

The "Unrewarded Lighting System" applied this time is a new technology that reinforces the existing emergency lighting system that allows the power of emergency generators to be converted through AC relays in emergency situations such as power outages that are not smooth while receiving normal electricity supply through KEPCO during normal times.

This could address the risk of power failure due to the limited capacity of the generator in the event of prolonged power outages.

 

"The patented 'emergency name system' will serve as an important cornerstone for us to approach our company's pursuit of human-centered safety technology-based LED companies," said Lee Heung-tae, director of the LEDSAVER subsidiary research center. "It will help the disaster management system of safer demographic buildings and facilities by resolving the power outage vacuum that has not been resolved by the existing system in the face of growing interest in disaster-related systems."

Meanwhile, LEDSAVER has been carrying out a project to replace old lights at welfare facilities in Gangseo-gu since 2014, and has continued its social responsibility by receiving citations from Gangseo-gu Office on Disabled Persons Day in April.

LED 조명 및 센서 전문기업 엘이디세이버(대표 홍현철)는 비상 재난 상황시 정전공백 없이 비상전력으로 자동 전환되는 LED 조명장치에 관한 특허 ‘비상조명시스템’를 출원했다고 밝혔다.

이번에 출원한 ‘비상조명시스템’은 평시에는 한전을 통해 정상적인 전기공급을 받으면서 전력공급이 원활하지 않는 정전과 같은 비상시에 비상발전기의 전원이 AC 릴레이를 통해 전환돼 평시와 같은 안정적인 전원 공급이 가능케 하는 기존의 비상조명시스템을 보강한 신기술이다.

이는 정전 시간이 장기화 될 경우, 발전기의 제한된 용량으로 전원공급이 중단되는 위험요소를 해결할 수 있다.



엘이디세이버 부설연구소 이흥태 소장은 “특허 출원된 ‘비상조명시스템’은 자사에서 추구하는 인간중심 안전기술기반의 LED 전문기업으로 다가서는데 중요한 초석이 될 것”이라며 “최근 재난관련시스템에 대한 관심이 커져 가는 상황에서 기존의 시스템에서 해소하지 못했던 정전공백을 해소함으로서 보다 안전한 인구 집적 빌딩 및 시설의 재난관리 시스템에 도움이 될 것”이라고 말했다.

한편, 엘이디세이버는 2014년부터 강서구 복지시설들의 노후 조명 교체사업을 진행해 지난 4월 장애인의 날 강서구청으로 부터 표창장을 수여 받는 등 사회적 책임도 이어 가고 있다.
